Overview:
CT imaging uses x-rays to create detailed, cross sectional images of all types of tissue including lung, soft tissue, bone and blood vessels. These images can then be digitally reconstructed to produce 3-D images much like this one of an ankle. Patients lie on the CT table as the "x-ray tube" rotates around the body part to be examined. Patients will often be asked to swallow oral contrast or accept intravenous contrast, which is used to enhance the visibility of certain tissues or blood vessels.

At Cherry Creek Imaging, all of the latest innovations are available for CT imaging and intervention. Once your exam is complete, one of our Board Certified Radiologists will interpret your study and report the findings to your referring physician.
