Overview:

Interventional radiology is a subspecialty of radiology that uses low dose radiation and minimally invasive catheter techniques for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. These procedures require only tiny incisions and are generally performed as an outpatient service. Long recovery periods often associated with a surgical procedure are thus avoided. Patients receive local anesthesia and intravenous sedation to assure comfort during the procedures.

Dr Robert Allen, Dr Leo Rothbarth and Dr Brandt Jamroz perform all interventional procedures at Cherry Creek Imaging. These radiologists have achieved subspecialty training and certification in the field of Interventional Radiology. They work closely with a team of highly skilled and compassionate nurses and specialty trained radiologic technologists to deliver patients the best care possible.

The doctors work closely with vascular surgeons to diagnose and treat arterial and venous vascular disease. In fact, Dr Allen and vascular surgeons in Denver were among the first in the state of Colorado to place bifurcated abdominal aortic stent grafts for the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms.
